PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO COMPLETE THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Enrollment Criteria
Beginning the 2025-26 school year, students who turn four years old by September 1st of the year of enrollment are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten.
Beginning the 2025-26 school year, students who turn five years old by September 1st of the year of enrollment are eligible for Kindergarten.

Residents within the boundaries of Vista Del Mar Union School District. Please provide two utility bills (gas, water, electric, etc.) upon registration.

For non residents: A District of Choice Application (1 per student)
Transitional Kindergarten
Students who turn four years old by September 1st of the year of enrollment are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten.
Children entering transitional kindergarten or kindergarten must have:
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- MMR -1st dose on or after 1st birthday (Measles, Mumps & Rubella)
- Hepatitis B
- Polio (3 doses meet requirement if at least one was given on or after the 4th birthday) (OPV or IPV)
- DTaP (4 doses meet requirement if at least one was given on or after the 4th birthday) (Diptheria, Tetanus & Pertussis)

Enrollment/Registration Process
Step 1: Meet with Superintendent/Principal. You are welcome to take tour of the school! Campus tours are held once a month between September - December. Please call the office to arrange your visit.
Step 2: If you do not live within VDMUSD boundaries, please submit a District of Choice application. The application window is open from 10/7/2024 - 12/13/2024. Please note that enrollment acceptance is based on the availability in each grade.
Step 3: Wait for enrollment confirmation from District Office or Superintendent/Principal.
Step 4: Complete the Enrollment Forms. Enrollment and registration are now completely digital! After your student is accepted, the school office will send you an email with instructions for submitting your documents.

Required Documents
THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ENROLLMENT/REGISTRATION
(For In-District residents) Required Proof of Residency (All 3 are required):

Property deed, current property tax bill, current mortgage statement or current rental agreement

Current (within 30 days) So Cal, PG&E or Water/Garbage only

Driver's License (ID purposes only, not accepted as proof of residency
For all students:

Proof of Immunizations (CDPH Immunization Requirements for K-12th Grade (Including transitional kindergarten))

Birth Certificate, Passport or Baptismal Certificate

Grades or Transcripts if available
